I moved to Turkey, can I become a Turkish Citizen?
Can I become a Turkish citizen? Yes, there are several ways of acquiring Turkish nationality. You can become a Turkish citizen with all the accompanying rights through either naturalization, marriage, or birth. You must be over 18 and be living in Turkey. It isn’t necessary to renounce your original nationality when you become a Turkish citizen. Turkey allows dual nationality:
- Naturalization: You may apply if you are over 18 years old. Lived in Turkey for an uninterrupted period of five years prior to the application. The intention to stay in Turkey. Good health and moral character. Knows the Turkish language, no threat to national security and has sufficient income.
- Marriage: A foreign national who has been married to a Turkish citizen for three years and is still married to that partner may apply for naturalization under an easier set of conditions. You have to live with your spouse, in a steady and “real” marriage and also not be a threat to national security.
- If you were born in Turkey or to a Turkish parent

How do we proceed?
The process of moving to Turkey is different for every client, it depends on which country you’re moving from and if you’re already a Turkish citizen. But our system stays the same!
